Insurance Industry Veteran Launches
American Retirement Systems, LLC in Des Moines

November 21, 2008, Des Moines, IA – Kevin Wingert, a 12-year veteran of American Equity, today announced he is leaving the company effective Dec. 31, 2008 to start his own independent company, American Retirement Systems, LLC. With 25-plus years in the insurance industry, Wingert plans to use his experience to focus on innovative services for consumers close to retirement age.

“I’m very fortunate to have such a great relationship with American Equity,” says Wingert. “David Noble and the team have been so gracious to me in my new business endeavors, and I’m looking forward to partnering with them in the future on products and services for agents.”

Currently a Director at American Equity, Wingert joined the company in 1996 as the Vice President of Marketing. He was appointed President of American Equity Life in 2001.

Wingert’s new company, American Retirement Systems, expected to launch Jan. 1, 2009, will focus on providing safe money products such as fixed index, traditional fixed and multi-year guaranteed annuities with focused selling systems for agent marketing.

“I believe our opportunities and responsibilities as financial services providers to America’s retirees and baby boomers have never been greater,” says Wingert.  “Many consumers have fear and insecurity about their future because of the market. American Retirement Systems will focus on clients’ needs and finding the right products for those needs.”
